Nik’s Heart of Hope
Meeting the Tangible Needs of Vulnerable Children & Families
Our son, Nikolas, spent the first 6 years of his life in an orphanage in Bulgaria. Since we adopted him six years ago, he has frequently talked about growing up in the orphanage and the things that need to be different for the children living there. Out of our conversations with him and his desire to make a difference, Nik’s Heart of Hope was created and nestled under the umbrella of Lost Sparrows.
Nik’s Heart of Hope is the part of Lost Sparrows that meets the tangible needs of vulnerable children and families in Eastern Europe, the Philippines and other parts of the world. In the past, Nik’s Heart of Hope has sent food packages to families in a remote village in Ukraine, supported a mobile van for families who have a child or adult with developmental disabilities Bosnia, supplied items to an organization that has created family housing for adults who have passed the age of being available for adoption and other projects.
